Fighting Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery

Trace Kenya is a national Counter Trafficking in Persons NGO based in Mombasa, Kenya. It was founded in 2006 to help rescue, rehabilitate and re-integrate women, youth and children who were victims of human trafficking. Trace Kenya works closely with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) on issues of counter human trafficking, including referrals cases for follow-up.

Prevention of Trafficking

We create awareness in schools, through campaigns, social media campaigns, chiefs and Wazee wa Nyumba Kumi Barazas and community dialogue forums.

Prosecution of Offenders

We work closely with relevant authorities to ensure prosecution of perpetrators of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation

Protection of Victims

We rescue victims of human trafficking, rehabilitate and re-integrating them to society through counseling, peer to peer support and dance therapy

Partnerships

We partner with other NGOs, local communities, KNHCR, department of children services and other government authorities to fight human trafficking.

Our Success Story

Trace Kenya has supported more than 900 children to enjoy education after rescue from child trafficking.

Over 700 young men and women in slavery have benefited from Trace Kenya work. Many of these have been victims of forced labor in the Middle East countries.
